GCSE Science

At Bright mentors we set high expectations for KS3 and GCSE Science students. Every September our syllabus is set out and students’ study in either foundation or higher tier groups based on their Year 9 and Year 10 groups.

Our course provides an excellent introduction to all areas (Chemistry, Biology and Physics) and is delivered so that students gain secure knowledge, understanding and skills required for further study at GCSE. We the vast array experience our tutors possess we help nurture and develop a disciplined study routine.

Our GCSE Science programme focuses on extending the knowledge and understanding gained from the key topics covered in Key Stage 3. The content is in line with the approved examining boards: AQA, Edexcel Pearson, OCR, WJEC and iGCSE’s.

Energy, Electricity, Particle model of matter, Atomic structure, Forces, Waves, Magnetism and electromagnetism & Space physics

Our content is in line with the approved examining boards: AQA, EDEXCEL Pearson, OCR and WJEC. Through personalised assessments and feedback, we continuously monitor strengths and areas of weaknesses to work through a bespoke programme of study for your child.   

Our structured maths curriculum allows pupils to develop fluent knowledge, skills and understanding of mathematical methods and concepts. With weekly objectives, homework’s and reviews we area able to re-enforce a disciplined approach to study. They are able to acquire, select and apply mathematical techniques to solve problems and reason mathematically. We set challenging targets and goals based on their initial assessment and set realistic and achievable target grades.
